To the father of Love,

He is risen! All Christians worldwide are grateful for the intimacy with You – Jesus afforded us with His blood. I’m curious as to how it was all like. So if I may:

How did it feel when You went around for your cool evening walk with the spirits living in the flesh You created and loved, and couldn’t find them? Were you filled with dread because they had done just what You told them not to do and You could no longer have intimacy with them?

Did it make You sad when You had to pronounce painful decrees to man because they had sinned? How was it like to sack them from the garden and be away from them?

Was it frustrating because even when You found people who were “good” enough, there was still a limit to how close You could be with them, that even Your chosen people could only come so close? That all the animal sacrifices could only go so far?

How were You so patient to wait so many years, making sure everything was just perfect before sending in Your only begotten son?

Now God, I’ll continue with all my questions soon, I just want to say that You’re pretty cool. You’re the definition of love, and only You can be God and do it well because, wow! You’re so intentional, it makes me feel secure. You’re the best events organizer there has ever been, it’s a good thing You’re in charge of my life!

We are back. How did it feel when it was finally time to send in the Messiah? Did you have mixed feelings? Excitement because the time had finally come when you could have intimacy with man like you would want, but also sadness because Your lamb would be slain, and for a while You couldn’t be with Him?

How was it like when Jesus, being so close to the cross asked if You could take the cup away from Him? Did it break your heart when He asked why You had forsaken Him?

How was it when the veil finally tore and access to you became available to all? Did You leap for joy when death was finally defeated?

I can’t imagine how it must have all felt, but I’m grateful You found me worthy to go through all this so I could enjoy being in Your presence. He is risen, and we have reason to sing!
