Dear God, may I be honest? I’d rather not be here at church. I mean, you know that I love the fellowship with the brethren, just, not today.

Everything seems to be pulling at me and there’s a thousand other things I could be doing, however, I know this is important too.

It is on days like this I’m grateful I belong to a department, it literally drags me to church, because when it seems passion and desire take the back seat, commitment and responsibility take the steering wheel (I’m not sure how You feel about it, but thank you for Mercy).

I find that on days where I’d rather not be in church, those are the days I’m most blessed. I mean on every other day, it’s amazing, but days like this feel like the service was specially constructed for me.

Let today not be any different, let me experience Your glory, and Your tangible presence. Allow me to experience Your move in the still quiet ways, and in the stormy magnificent ways alike. As you dress the lilies with beauty and splendor, dress me in Your beauty and Your glory. 

In Your presence there is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore (Ps 17:11). Please let me experience that. Amen

My God who shows up and shows off! Thank you for answering my prayer. It was an awesome time in Your presence. You’re an amazing God, and I’m glad I’m doing life with You.
