Dear God,
It is another day in March, the month of Ghana’s independence. Mostly I’m just grateful because I get a holiday out of it, and I can stay home. But this time, I thought to thank you for Ghana.
For keeping us from the beginning of time till now, thank you. Thank you for our independence, for all our freedoms, even those that we take for granted. I am grateful for the peace we enjoy; that people can walk about, relatively safe at night. Thank you. For all the developments and advancements we’ve made as a nation. Thank you because when the pandemic hit and we were presumed most likely to record the highest deaths, we survived. That report was turned around like You turned around the captivity of Israel. We are blessed because You are our Lord.
As we have chalked 66 years, we pray that you will be gracious to us and bless us. Make your face shine upon us and let your ways be known in our nation. We pray that our leaders will be perpetually filled with wisdom to manage the affairs of the nation, and please remove from leadership every wicked leader.
I ask that individually and as a nation, we will enter a season of rest on every side. May every wounded heart be bound up and healed. May our hope in you be renewed and maintained. Let your peace that surpasses all understanding continue to reign supreme.
Thank you Lord, for Ghana.
Yours truly,
A regular church girl
